Have you ever heard of a surprise wedding? Me neither, until this rustic wedding inspiration submission came across my desk. I adore the concept, and it fits so well with our goal at Say “I Do” Denver, which is to inspire couples to do something different and something locally.
from their wedding photographer, April O’Hare: Heather and Rick told their friends and family to come to the Bistro at Marshdale on November 5th for an engagement party. What they didn’t know was that they would be surprising them by having their wedding that evening. They got up in front of everyone and thanked them for coming and then started saying “Make sure you keep your calendars open for December 2012.” But then Rick “interrupted” and said “But we already have all of our closest friends and family right here.” And they proceeded to suprise everyone by bringing their officiant to the front of the room. And then they called their best man and maid of honor who didn’t know they were planning this. Everyone’s faces in the room were in shock once they realized what was going on. It was one of the most fun and sweet weddings I have ever witnessed.
